Half day Tour
Although Pont-Aven is well known for its cakes, the city is also nicknamed «the city of painters» and gave its name to a famous school of painting. From 1864, the town became a favourite destination for painters of all nationalities attracted by the beauty of the surrounding countryside and its landscapes. «This is the most beautiful village in France that I have seen so far» wrote Henry Bacon. For his part Gauguin will immortalize his passage by painting his famous yellow Christ. So all to your easels and brushes or camera!!!
Schedule of the half-day
After taking charge of all the passengers, we will take the road to the charming city of painters: Pont-Aven.
Guided, you will discover its history, its heritage, its emblematic characters and its unmissable sites.
Then you will have enough free time to enjoy Pont-Aven and its gastronomic and cultural riches.
And don’t leave without tasting her delicious patties.
Return at about 6:30 pm.
Walking shoes recommended.
